The Beloit City Council approved a planned unit development for the proposed Henry Dorrbaker entertainment venue at their Monday night meeting.

Angus Young President Joel Stadelman says while concerns about the sign on the rooftop were heard, he doesn’t believe it will be an issue and they’ll continue to test brightness levels and colors so it doesn’t become a problem.

Council Member Clinton Anderson says the project will continue to transform downtown and it will help address concerns he hears from citizens about there not being enough things for kids to do downtown.

The proposed project includes 18,939 square feet of indoor space, and 5,300 square feet of outdoor space, where food trucks could pull up to serve patrons.
