Four of the candidates for Janesville City Council discuss the role the council has in addressing affordable housing in Janesville.

Incumbent Michael Jackson says the city helps with things like vouchers and section eight housing to help people afford housing, while fellow incumbent Dave Marshick says any type of new housing will help and the city needs to continue to focus on affordable housing/

Incumbent Heather Miller says the city needs to take a proactive role to address the need for housing, while challenger Richard Neeno says the city needs to encourage new housing and make sure it’s a focus of the city’ economic team.

Another challenger, Spencer Zimmerman, did not participate in the forum.
