Attendees of a beer festival in Beloit that was planned for next month will have to cross their fingers for next year.

Organizers of Lager than Life at Preservation Park have made the difficult decision to cancel the event.

Visit Beloit Director of Sales and Servicing Matthew Bosen says almost 50 percent of the breweries backed out due to either supply or staffing issues.

Bosen says anyone who purchased tickets should have already received a refund.

Bosen says they hope to try to hold the event again next summer.
