The two finalists for Chief of Police in Milton got to meet with community members during an open session Wednesday night.

Al Fear says in his 25 years with the Cedar Rapids, Iowa police department he has seen a little bit of everything and has been on all sorts of calls of service.

Brandon Sachse  says in his roles with the Fort Atkinson police department, he’s overseen things just about any supervisor other than a police chief would oversee.

Sachse says it’s crucial to get involved with youth in the community, as one simple decision can impact how a kid sees the police.

Fear says he hopes to change Milton’s current strategy of having only one officer on the street at a time.

The Milton Police Commission is expected to make a decision on their next chief Thursday.
