The 24 year old Kansas man who crashed his car into a boulder at Sidelines Sportsbar Thursday night and faces multiple charges make his initial appearance in Rock County court.

The state argued for a $5,000 cash bond Giovanny Zendejas-Castellanos, who allegedly fled from his vehicle after crashing and disposed of a backpack with a stolen firearm, only to return and be arrested by officers.

Court Commissioner Jodi Timmerman sided with the state and held Zendejas-Castellanos on a $5,000 cash bond, citing his addresses in both Kansas and Michigan making him a potential flight risk.

Zendejas-Castellanos is facing charges of operating while intoxicated, first offense, being a felon in possession of a firearm, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, and resisting an officer.
