What started out as a humanitarian mission helping clinics, turns out to be a fight against human trafficking for a Beloit firefighter.

Battalion Chief Todd Farley recently returned from Moldova where he worked with an organization called Hope4 that’s helping prevent Ukrainian refugees from being trafficked by meeting their basic needs.

Farley says human trafficking is a huge problem among Ukrainian refugees right now, with many of them being women and children.

Farley says human trafficking is a problem in the United States too, and it doesn’t matter where the people are being trafficked from. It’s our problem too.
