The 41-year-old Janesville woman charged with possession of a firearm on school grounds waives her right to a preliminary hearing in Rock County Court.
According to the criminal complaint Danielle Reints had a gun holstered in plain view when she went to Van Buren Elementary the afternoon of September 27th to pick up her boyfriend’s children.
After being placed into custody, Reints told police she thought she was allowed to carry a gun on school grounds because her ex husband who is a cop did so.
Police spoke with the boyfriend who said he told her not to take her gun to his children’s school.
Reints’ attorney James Fitzgerald entered a not guilty plea on her behalf Tuesday morning. She remains free on a $1000 signature bond.
