The Beloit man accused of punching out a 68-year-old man in the parking lot of Edwards Ice Arena in a road rage incident takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.

According to online court records, 21-year-old Cahleel Wicks plead guilty on Friday to physical abuse of an elder person as a repeater. An additional charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed but read in to the record.

Judge Barbara McCrory sentenced Wicks to three years of probation.

According to the criminal complaint, Wicks was driving in November of last year when a younger man cut him off in traffic. Wicks followed the man to the ice arena and began to yell threats at him.

Witnesses say the victim tried to get Wicks to leave the younger male alone. Wicks chased down the older man and punched him three times in the head and face, then dragged the man across the ground as he tried to get away.

The victim was treated for face injuries.
