A 39-year-old Janesville woman is accused of stealing approximately $26,000 in seven months while employed as a manager at a local restaurant.

Last month Janesville Police spoke with the area manager of the Denny’s on Milton Avenue who reported that they had confronted Jenna Poole on four separate occasions between November of 2023 and May of 2024 about cash missing from the deposits.

At one point Poole made an agreement to pay back the money by having $500 deducted from her paychecks, although she continued to steal from the business.

Poole made her initial appearance in Rock County Court Monday on a single charge of theft in a business setting, where Court Commissioner Jack Hoag gave her a signature bond.

She’s also not allowed to have contact with any Denny’s restaurants.
