The Beloit man arrested for drunken driving in Janesville on Sunday was out on bond for another open operating while intoxicated case.

Assistant District Attorney David Olson argued that while York Polk is charged with OWI 4th offense, it’s actually is fifth drunken diving arrest.

47-year-old York Polk made his initial appearance before Court Commissioner Jack Hoag this week on charges of operating while intoxicated, 4th offense and resisting an officer where cash bond was set at $1,500.

According to the criminal complaint, Polk failed field sobriety tests, refused to submit to a blood draw, and was combative at the hospital when police executed a warrant to take his blood.
