Fundraising for the Rock County Children’s Museum is closing in on the $9 million mark.

An anonymous donor has agreed to match all donations to the museum’s $10 million capital campaign – up to $250,000 – through the end of the year.

Campaign funds will be used to repurpose the historical First National Bank at 100 W. Milwaukee Street in downtown Janesville into a children’s museum.

Construction of the museum is expected to take 10 to 13 months to complete and with hopes for the museum to open in early 2026.
