The Ice Age Trail Alliance is challenging citizens to hike at least 44 miles on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and visit three trail communities in the month of October.

Outreach and Education Manager Amy Lord says the reward for completing the Mammoth Hike Challenge is a limited-edition patch and certificate.

This year’s mileage corresponds with it being the 44th Anniversary of the Ice Age Trail becoming a National Scenic Trail.
