A significant renovation project is underway at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
Beloit Health System Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Sharon Cox says the hospital is renovating its remaining semi-private inpatient hospital rooms into fully private suites to meet industry standards.
She says the changes will benefit both patients and hospital staff.
When they have personal space and personal time, patients rest and heal better, and nurses and doctors will have more space to move, place and work around equipment that might be in a patient’s room.
Cox says they’re expecting an 18-month time frame to finish the work, putting completion in early 2026. Most of the work will be done on the third floor, and they’ll be doing it in phases to limit the effects on day-to-day operations.
Cox says the biggest thing people in the hospital will notice is additional noise. The work shouldn’t affect visitation or other hospital functions.
