The Beloit Evening Lions Club is hosting its 6th annual Dining in the Dark fundraiser giving guests the opportunity to eat a meal in darkness while experiencing the world for someone who is blind or has low vision. Come join us for an unforgettable dining experience as you journey through a four-course meal while wearing a blind-fold enhancing your senses of smell, taste, sound, texture, and touch.
Dining in the Dark serves a powerful message by raising awareness to the everyday challenges of the blind and low vision. A Beloit Evening Lions Club member will be assigned to every table to help guide guests through the experience.
The event takes place on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 5 – 11pm at The Birch Room at Boundaries Bar & Grill, 3807 S. Riverside Drive, Beloit. Social hour is from 5 – 6pm, from 6 – 6:30pm a special guest speaker, BJ Blahnik from Blind Inspirations, will provide a powerful presentation about his journey of being visually challenged and the impact of receiving a leader dog. Dinner begins at 6:30pm, dancing from 9 – 11pm.
Tickets are $55 per person or $400 for a table of eight. The four-course meal will consist of French onion soup, Caesar Salad, Beef Tips over garlic mashed potatoes, California blend vegetables, and lemon raspberry dessert (vegetarian option is available).
