Public school districts in Rock County are working together on a plan to reopen in the fall. Beloit Interim Superintendent Sue Green says the Department of Public Instruction is leaving it up to individual districts to develop procedures along with their local health departments. Green says local superintendents thought is was best to collaborate. Planning will include a survey of what parents expect. She says not all parents may be comfortable with returning their children to the classroom and will likely have feedback on how to improve distance learing.
