The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identifies a Janesville woman as one of two fatalities in a residential fire in Madison last week.
21-year-old Keani Braxton died as a result of injuries sustained in and because of the fire in the 2100 block of Seminole Highway.
Firefighters were dispatched just after 3:00 a.m. last Thursday and found flames showing out of the back of the home.
Two occupants escaped on their own, while Braxton and 32-year-old Brent Broge of Madison remained trapped inside and died.
The Madison Fire Department have not announced the cause of the fired, but firefighters do not believe it was set intentionally.
