Janesville police arrest a man accused of threatening a family with a gun on the Ice Age Trail near Riverside Park early Sunday afternoon.

The family told officers they were out walking on the trail with their one-month-old baby when 73-year-old Robert T. Baker approached them about their unleashed dog.

The male victim went to secure the dog, and Baker reportedly pointed a handgun at them and threatened to kill them before taking off on foot.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and golfers at the Riverside Golf Course helped Janesville police track Baker to the nearby park, where he was found in possession of the firearm.

Police arrested him on three potential charges of recklessly endangering safety.
