A local library has a little more money to help protect its staff and patrons from COVID-19. Eager Free Public Library in Evansville will be using a $2000 CARES Relief Grant to support general operating costs through August. Officials say the funds will be used to purchase necessary supplies to reopen the library including face shields for staff, cleaning supplies to sanitize computers and work stations, gloves, hand sanitizers, and face masks. The grant is being administered though the Wisconsin Humanities Council and is aimed at helping cultural institutions facing financial hardship resulting from the coronavirus.
