No mad dash to get into the dorms at UW-Whitewater this fall. Campus officials say residence hall Move-In Day this year is being replaced with an extended Drop-Off Only over the course of nine-days. The extended drop-off is intended to help students and their families allow for social distancing. Time slots will be limited each day for each building to reduce the long lines waiting for key pick-up, parking in unloading zones, and any congestion in stairwells and elevators. The traditional faculty, staff, and student assistants welcoming students will not be taking place this year either. Moving in begins August 21st. Everyone will be required to bring and wear a face covering.
