Motorists on I-43 and Highway 81 in Beloit heading toward Janesville via I-39/90 northbound must use alternate routes starting Sunday night.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the I-43/Highway 81 ramp to I-39/90 northbound will be closed from Sunday night until early August as crews pave concrete connections for the new Diverging Diamond Interchange at I-39/90 and WIS 81.

The signed detour route will follow I-43 to Hart Road then Shopiere Road to I-39/90 northbound.

Drivers are urged to plan ahead, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to reach their destination.
