Rock County residents and businesses are being encouraged to participate in an Internet speed test.

Rock County Economic Development Manager James Otterstein says gathering accurate data is the first step in improving broadband speeds as well as increasing access to high-speed Internet in rural areas.

Otterstein encourages residents and businesses to participate in a speed test – which takes about 15 seconds – as often as possible for the next few months.
