Several area municipalities tease a major announcement about future plans for fire and EMS protection.

According to a news release, the town of Milton, Harmony, Johnstown and Lima, and the City of Milton are holding a joint news conference on January 10th at the Milton Fire Station.

The five municipalities plan to discuss their forthcoming petition for membership to join the Edgerton Fire Protection District, as well as the intergovernmental agreement that outlines the roles and responsible for funding the initiative, and the plans for for future fire stations which will serve the group for decades to come.
