The Beloit City Council looks at making changes the the zoning ordinances related to medical facilities less than a year after thy were approved.

Community Development Director Julie Christensen says the Plan Commission recommends allowing medical facilities as a permitted use in the C-1 office district, and the CBD-1 central business district.

Beloit Health System President and CEO Tom McKevett says the change last year made four of their facilities non-conforming uses.

The Beloit City Council heard the first reading of the ordinance amendment and held a public hearing before voting to lay it over for another meeting.
