Whitewater City residents should receive their utility bills soon. PR and Communications Manager Kristin Mickelson says a mishap occurred with the U.S. Postal Service. Mickelson says bills were dropped off for April and May to have them sent to Whitewater, however, they went to the Milwaukee Office as they typically are, but were brought back later than usual. She says when they got wind utility bills were back in Whitewater and being sent out, they were being sent out later than their normal dates. When community members received them, the due dates were approaching or already present and they wanted to make people aware a mistake occurred at the U.S. Postal Service and through the Milwaukee Office, and Whitewater is now aware of it. They’re working with the postal service to ensure this doesn’t happen again and hopefully everything will be rectified for the next month. This month’s utility bills are due May 25 with late fees being applied on May 26. You can visit Whitewater’s online bill pay link below.
