A 42-year-old former Boscobel man is charged in federal court with escaping custody in Janesville.

According to a news release, Craig Bellis escaped from Rock Valley Community Programs on West Sunny Lane on April 30th.

If convicted, Bellis faces up to five years in federal prison.

The charge is the result of an investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service.
