The state legislature fails to take action during a special session called Wednesday by Governor Tony Evers.

44th Assembly District Representative Sue Conley of Janesville says she wasn’t surprised Republicans gaveled in and adjourned without taking any action.

The Democrat says if Roe vs Wade is overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court, abortion would be a felony in Wisconsin, even in cases of rape or incest.

Conley says Democrats will continue to fight for reproductive rights for women and families. She says every pregnancy is unique and there are many reasons a woman would want an abortion.
