A local non-profit will have more money to help those in the community after an anonymous donor makes it possible to save thousands every month.

Executive Director Jessica Locher says the solar project installed on ECHO’s roof over the summer went live last month.

Locher says ECHO would never have been able to fund the project with it’s budget and it will add up to a savings of about $1000 a month.

Locher says the money ECHO will save every month will allow ECHO to provide an extra 3000 meals in the community.

Locher says the money the solar panels will save every month will allow ECHO to provide an extra 3000 meals for members of the community, or one month of housing for a family.

Members of the public are invited to come check out the new solar array at an open house this Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
