The Beloit Sky Carp announced Thursday that ABC Supply Stadium will be operating as cash-less stadium during the upcoming baseball season.
Manager of Media and Public Relations Josh Flickinger says this is a trend most MLB stadiums are following and they’ll be accepting all major debit and credit cards, gift cards and certain areas will have mobile tap to pay payments.
Flickinger says if people do bring cash to the ball park, they’ll be able to exchange it for gift cards that can then be used at the stadiums.
Flickinger says they hope going to the cash-less system will be able to cut down wait times at concessions and gift shops and will get people back to watching the game a little quicker.
The first cash-less event at ABC Supply Stadium will be Sky Carp Fest on January 21st.
