Leo Burke and Zach Lizan, two Janesville Craig seniors, are being recognized for their submissions to the Wisconsin Business World’s “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” essay contest.

Craig English Teacher Cindi Haberkorn says the essays tasked students to research the coolest thing made in the state and explore how Wisconsin businesses impact their employees and the community.

Haberkorn says Burke wrote about Festival Foods and was selected as a winner and received $500, while Lizan wrote about Harley Davidson and earned Honorable Mention recognition and $100.

Haberkorn says this was the first year they entered into the contest, but they look forward to being a part of it in the future.
