It looks like the former Chase Bank building in downtown Janesville will be getting new life soon.

The Children’s Museum of Rock County has announced plans to redevelop the property at 100 West Milwaukee Street into a 20,000 to 25,000 square foot museum.

Gray says the space is expected to draw 80,000 people to downtown Janesville annually.

Gray says the board expects to complete the $ 8 million capital campaign the summer with potential construction started in 2024.

$2.5 million has been raised so far.
