The Janesville Jets will be making some history next week as the first USAH tier one or tier two team to have a woman play in a regular or postseason game.

President Bill McCoshen says Annelies Bergman will suit up as the starting goalie for the Jets during the April 7th game against the Springfield Junior Blues at the Janesville Ice Arena.

McCoshen says this isn’t a gimmick, and Bergman is a legitimate goalie who boasts a 94.4% save percentage and will one day be the starting goalie for the USA Olympic team.

All girls under 18 will have $5 admission to the game.
