A new housing development in Beloit recently received City Council approval for a planned unit development, making the project one step close to reality.

Director of Building and Planning Services TJ Nee says the 127,000 square foot development on Fuller Drive will feature two, six story apartment buildings and will add 105 to 110 rentable units to the city.

Nee says the approved request will allow them to build more than one building on the land, and the apartments will feature amenities such as a health studio, gathering space, designated outdoor grilling space, and a pet wash station.

According to documents submitted to the council, the project is slated to get started in either the Summer or Fall of this year.
