An Edgerton man who police say choked his wife, and then led police on a high-speed chase where he rammed a squad car, appears in Rock County Court.
44-year-old Timothy Heaslip is charged with strangulation and suffocation, disorderly conduct, operating a firearm while intoxicated, resisting or obstructing an officer, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, hit and run, two counts of fleeing an officer, and second degree recklessly endangering safety.
Rock County Sheriff’s Officials say the chase began about 1:50 Saturday morning in the 11000 block of Mason Drive in the town of Fulton, traveled down Newville Road, and then north on the Interstate.
Deputies say stop-sticks were used to disable the vehicle, which was involved in a crash with a squad car.
Court Commissioner Jack Hoag ultimately set cash bond for Heaslip at $5000.
Heaslip is due back in court for an adjourned initial appearance on June 2nd.
