The Janesville City Council has its work cut out for it.

After 46 years in law enforcement, and six months as interim City Manager, Janesville Police Chief David Moore is retiring.

Moore says Janesville has a historically low crime rate, and he’s confident in the leadership within the department.

Moore says the highlight of his career was working with the other officers and staff at the police department.

Moore’s last day will be September 22nd.
