The Janesville Art League is inviting the public to spend a summer evening viewing the artwork of more than 40 area artists.

Coordinator Arra Lasse says they’ll be holding a reception on Friday, July 28th from 4 to 8pm and gallery goers will be able to vote for their favorite pieces for the People’s Choice Awards which are given at the end of the evening.

Lasse says they’re patterning with the Wisconsin Regional Art Program for the gallery, which is a program which helps highlight the work or rural artists from across the state.

The reception will be held at the Janesville Performing Arts Center and is free and open to the public.
