The Rock County 4-H Fair saw a strong opening and attendance held strong through the first two days.

Fair Treasurer Abby Gasser says Tuesday was a great day with almost 14,000 people, which is unusual for a kickoff day at the fair, then despite rain (Wednesday) they saw about 9,500 people.

Gasser  says last year they had 84,000 people which they saw as a success, but they’d like to the fair continue to grow in attendance and if they can get more than 85,000 people they’ll be happy.

Through the first two days, the fair saw more than 23,000 attendees, with Thursday’s numbers yet to roll in.
