Water lovers of all ages are being invited to take part in Walworth County’s Aquatic Invasive Species Snapshot Day next month.
County Conservationist Mandy Bonneville says is a statewide initiative which relies on volunteers to monitor streams, lakes, and wetlands for non native plants and animals which pose risks to Wisconsin waterways and wildlife.
Bonneville says people can meet at the Walworth County Government Center and after a brief training session they will head out to a handful of locations throughout the county to look for invasive species.
Walworth County’s snapshot day will be held August 19th starting at 830am.
