A local water ski show team has taken national honors.

The Rock Aqua Jays took first place in the Division One Show Ski National Championship over the weekend in Warsaw, Indiana. The team earned high scoring awards for ballet, doubles, swivel, towboat driving, showmanship and high individual club act.

The national title is the 22nd for the Rock Aqua Jays.

Madison’s Mad-City Ski Team placed second from among the 14 teams competing.
