Rock and Winnebago county sheriff’s authorities say they’re still investigating three officers injured while they tried to dispose of dynamite police found in a rural Beloit trailer.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department says deputies on the department’s bomb squad got hurt Saturday while trying to dispose of dynamite police found in a trailer in the 10,000 block of Cleophas Road.

The sheriff’s office hasn’t said how much dynamite was found, but the Rock County Sheriff’s office had called in Winnebago County’s bomb unit to handle the explosives.

Authorities in both Rock and Winnebago Counties continue to investigate the discovery of the dynamite and the injuries to police.

No word from Winnebago County Authorities on how the officers injured are now doing.
