With less than two months until Election Day, the Beloit School District is trying to get resident’s informed on a referendum question they have on the April ballot.
Executive Director of Business Services Bob Chady says they’re holding a number of sessions for the community with the hopes to provide info on why they went to a referendum, and to give the community a chance to ask questions and offer feedback.
Chady says the question is asking voters to approve a $9 million override authority within the revenue limits annually over the next three school years, and without a referendum, the district faces a $10.8 million deficit.
The first session will be held Tuesday from 6 to 7pm at the Beloit Public Library.
