One man is dead and a woman wounded after police officer involved shootings along the state line.  The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation, along with the Winnebago Boone County Integrity Task Force, are leading the investigation into the incident which began just after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, with a traffic stop on Route 251 near Prairie Hill Road in South Beloit.  Authorities say officers were attempting to arrest a male passenger, when the woman driving, sped off.  The driver was shot in the leg and crashed, and the male suspect fled the vehicle, hijacked a car, and drove into Beloit. Authorities say the male suspect was shot when he attempted to ram his vehicle into a Roscoe squad car.  The suspect was pronounced dead at a local hospital.  The woman is listed in stable condition.  The investigation is ongoing.
