A $3,000 grant from the Stateline Community Foundation is allowing the Beloit Historical Society to complete a new project.

BHS Collection Archivist Diane Ray says the Women’s History Resources Project shares the history of Beloit women and their significant achievements to the growth of the city.

Ray says they’ll be highlighting more than 70 Beloit women’s organizations, including the group that founded the historical society, homemaker clubs, religious organizations, and the League of Women Voters.

Ray says they’ll begin putting the exhibit together this summer, and hope to have it ready for next spring.
