A 32-year-old Beloit man who is accused of sexually assaulting a girl for years starting when she was 12 takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.

According to online court records Everett Wescott plead guilty to a single count of repeated sexual assault of the same child. An additional charge of first-degree sexual assault of a child was dismissed but read into the record.

Judge John Wood sentenced Wescott to eight years in prison and eight years of extended supervision to be served concurrently to the 22-and-a-half years in federal prison he was sentenced to in September.

Wescott plead guilty to sexual exploitation of a child in June of 2023.

Law enforcement began their investigation into Wescott after a 15-year-old victim disclosed to police that Wescott began sexually assaulting her when she was 12 years old and that he recorded the encounters on his cell phone.
