Business may be picking up at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport. Director Greg Cullen says like so many operations, the airport took a real hit at the beginning of the pandemic. Cullen says charter traffic is still greatly reduced, but small private flights are on the rise. He says Bessie’s Diner is also open again, and private pilots are stopping for meals, but they tend to get take-out and eat by their planes. Cullen says construction at the Rock County owned facility also continues. He says several new hangers are being built and small hanger rental is at its highest capacity in years.
