A Janesville citizen’s complaint prompts action at City Hall.

City Engineer Mike Payne says data was collected on traffic volumes and crashes at the intersection of Linn and West Van Buren Streets after a citizen raised concerns about safety.

As a result City staff recommended that a yield signs be installed on West Van Buren Street.

The Janesville City Council unanimously approved an ordinance ordering the yield signs after holding a public hearing at their meeting this week.
