A 33 year old Janesville man who is charged with three counts of sexual assault makes his initial appearance in Rock County court.

Kyle W. Dean appeared in front of Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig Wednesday afternoon, who noted the severity of the allegations and the possible flight risk, then ordered a $5,000 cash bond.

The state initially argued for a $10,000 cash bond, citing Dean’s previous conviction of child sexual assault, his danger to the community, and the need to protect the victim’s from any intimidation from Dean.

According to a release, Dean’s arrest Tuesday was the culmination of an investigation police initiated this year involving multiple victims, regarding crimes that took place around 2007.
