A rural Clinton home is a total loss after an early morning fire. Clinton Fire Chief Mark Ruosch says firefighters responded to the 7600 block of County J northeast of the city about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Ruosch says the family of four escaped the two-story home, but one needed to be transported to a Madison hospital. The Red Cross is assisting the family. Several local fire departments assisted in the response. Firefighters were on scene until dawn. The cause is under investigation.
